On the peak of 14th February, when all vine-growers and winemakers celebrate the day of Trifon Zarezan, in "Vinprom Karnobat" started trimming of the vineyards planted with bio grapes. The most prominent producer of wines and brandies in Bulgaria for a consecutive year paid tribute to Saint Trifon at the vine massifs certified for farming entirely organic red and white grape varieties.
"We take care of our plantations entirely environmentally friendly – as our fathers and grandfathers used to do", told the chief agronomist Dushan Nyagolov. "We do not use any chemical compounds, we only spray with blue stone and sulfur, and fertilize with organic manure. The vineyards, from which the mellow Karnobat brandies and the Chateau Karnobat wines are made, are processed entirely by hand - from the trimming to the grape-gathering in autumn. Our own massifs already have a special certificate for the cultivation of organic grape. This serves us as a guarantee that even without chemical additives, the harvest will be rich, and the quality of the wine and the brandy will be superb ", the chief agronomist of "Vinprom Karnobat" revealed. The first organic wines from eco-grapes will come on the market in the spring, the manufacturing director of "Vinprom Karnobat" Stoyan Stoyanov added. These have been specially created for those who favor the natural way of living, and combine excellent quality with unique taste.
To make a toast with the first bottle bio-wine, the leaders in the trade with alcoholic beverages from all over the country gathered in the vineyards near Venets village. The owners of prestigious restaurants and retail chains were fascinated by the quality of the Karnobat wines and brandies, which bring loyal customers to their venues for over 20 years already.
The festivities started with the songs of the beloved folk singer Nikolina Chakardakova. In front of the thousands of guests, the favorite singer of generations and her brilliant ensemble lead the ring dance. The regional governor Konstantin Grebenarov, the mayor of Karnobat Georgi Dimitrov and the executive director of Vinprom Karnobat Desislava Nikolova trimmed the first vine stocks and poured them with wine for health and prosperity. After them, the vineyards of "Vinprom Karnobat" were visited by many MPs, guests from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, the Executive agency on wine and vine, key public bodies from the region of Burgas, as well as the entire municipal administration of the town of Karnobat. "Right now as we adopt the new law on wine, the vine growers and winemakers from Karnobat gave us a good lesson on how tradition, skill and diligent care for the environment can make Bulgaria produce excellent organic wines and brandies," the people's representatives told. Along with the production of ecologically clean drinks, "Vinprom Karnobat" will develop the wine spa-tourism, the executive director Desislava Nikolova shared. Soon, our winery's guests will enjoy exotic wine therapy, created in the spirit of the most world elite resorts."
