Vineyards

The Karnobat region falls within the transitional continental climate zone. The formation of the climate is influenced by oceanic air masses that penetrate from the west and northwest, and by continental air masses from the northeast. The terrain and the proximity of the Black Sea are additional factors that affect the climatic elements. From an agro-climatic perspective, the territory falls into two belts: a belt of moderately thermophilic (warm-loving) crops and a belt of thermophilic (warm-loving) crops.

The planting of first-class certified vine material is aligned with the natural characteristics of the Karnobat region. However, the significant investment in vine seedlings is preceded by a precise selection of land for their planting in the territories of Venets, Lozenets, Devetak, Ognen, and Terziysko. Despite their proximity, each of the vineyard blocks has its own distinct character, which contributes to the complex nature and attractiveness of our wines and rakia. South-facing slopes have been chosen, which are proven to be suitable for cultivating vineyards.

Vinprom Karnobat owns nearly 20,000 decares of its own vineyards. The grape varieties have been sourced from leading global producers of planting material – "Mercier," "Guillaume," "Truant," "Chida," "Rauscedo," and others. In addition to traditional wine grape varieties such as Muscat, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot, in recent years the top agronomists and oenologists of Vinprom Karnobat have been developing white and red wines from Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, Traminer, Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir, Mavrud, Rubin, Muscat, Pamid, and others.

The consistent quality of the harvest is ensured by highly qualified specialists and modern equipment for soil cultivation, spraying, fertilization, and pruning.
