More than 40 Russian businessmen and mayors visited Vinprom Karnobat on September 30 to see first-hand the state-of-the-art plant and taste its superb beverages, which have during recent years been successfully made inroads on the vast Russian market. The winemakers personally welcomed Anatolii Shelkunov, the Russian Federations’ General Consul in Varna, and Mihail Sokolov, the Deputy Mayor of Moscow, who is also a Director General of the International Assembly of Capital Cities and Large Cities /MAG/. Along with them personal envoys of Yuri Luzhkov, the Moscow mayor, mayors of more than 10 Russian cities such as Rostov, Petropavlovsk, Magadan, Ufa, Omsk, Vladikavkaz, and others, representatives of the business elite, potential investors showing interest in making joint ventures with Bulgarian partners also entered the premises of wine cellar.
